Sandbach 10k and Sandbach 2k Under 16s Race

Event Details

In 2017 we brought you a new, all road, course at a new location, in the picturesque surroundings of Bradwall near Sandbach. The event was a great success, and we are hoping to make 2018 even better. The 2018 race will be held on Sunday 16th September and starts at 11:00. We will also be holding the Under 16s 2K event again, starting at 10:00. WFor the second year in a row we are a sell out. Put yourself onto the waiting list incase people cancel their entries. Thank you to all entrants, and look forward to seeing you in Septmeber.

Sandbach 2k Under 16s Race

  • 2K Race for Under 16s (2018-34902)
  • New for 2018 - Chip timed
  • Starts at 10:00
  • An out and back course on the 10k route with full road closures and fully marshalled
  • Online entries only - Entry cost £3
  • Limited to 100 places
  • Race numbers and pins to be provided on the day (have to be collected before 9:40)
  • Children under 8 on the day must be accompanied by an adult
  • Prizes for the first 3 runners as well as each age group. Note that it is a maximum of 1 prize per runner. Age group categories are under 5s, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15

All profits from the day cake stalls, and other family activites will go to our club charity (charity yet to be confirmed for 2018). In 2016 and 2017 we raised over £1000 at each evet for Cheshire Buddies and Friends for Leisure respectively.

Please note there will be a £1 charge per car on race day, so please car share where ever possible.

Refund Policy

The moment you enter our race we start to incur administration costs and banking charges, simply in processing your entry and payment. We also incur further charges in administering cancellations and processing refund payments.

No refunds are given. This applies also if the race has to be cancelled or postponed due to circumstances outside our control, for instance due to a bomb scare. Your entry fee is invested in the cost of staging the event, and the main costs to contractors, suppliers, administration etc. are already committed well before race day.

Furthermore most races do not offer any form of refund at all if a runner decides to cancel their place because of injury, illness, lack of training or change of plan. There are many other instances of higher priced services, such as plane, train or theatre tickets where no refunds can be given for cancellation in these circumstances.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel applications, including duplicate applications, or alter the date of the event, the course route or distance.

Transfers WILL be allowed until at least one week before the event date, this can be done via a link in the entry email.
